Frederick Seawright, better known as Brickhouse Brown in Memphis and the pro-wrestling world, passed away today. He was 57 years old.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, Brickhouse became one of the South's most notorious and feared heels throughout the 80s and 90s. He started his career in San Antonio and would capture gold all across the southern territories with successful runs in NWA, AWA, CWA, and WCCW. He stayed active on the independent circuit until 2017 when he announced a stage 4 cancer diagnosis would keep him from further in-ring competition.
He received the Cauliflower Alley Courage Award in May.
