The family of Mexican wrestling legend and lucha libre icon Perro Aguayo have announced his passing. He was 73 years old.
A golden career spanning more than 30 years and an entire globe, Aguayo is credited with building AAA Luche Libra in the 90s and becoming the first ever UWA/WWF Light Heavyweight Champion in 1981. A household name throughout Mexico he would work for and hold titles with some of the largest promotions in the country earning an induction into the AAA Hall of Fame in 2012.
