Goldberg announced for WWE Hall of Fame
This year's first inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame will be Bill Goldberg, as announced by ESPN and WWE today. After the Tulsa native's short stint in the NFL he transitioned the pro wrestling in 1997. He was sidelined with a career shortening injury but became acquainted with wrestling icons Sting and Lex Luger during physical rehab. He debuted for WCW in the summer of 1997 under the name Bill Gold and on September 22nd we were all introduced to the wrestling machine Bill Goldberg. The rest, as they say, is history - a remarkable career spanning 20 years and 5 different champions ships, multiple times. Goldberg has had some success away from the ring, as well, with several big and small screen appearances from documentary host to feature films. He owns and operates an amateur boxing gym and is also an avid animals welfare activist.
