Paige named GM of Smackdown

There were a ton of roster changes and call-ups in the wake of WrestleMania and more are expected with the Superstar Shake-up. Lesnar and Heyman announced new deals, some of NXT's best and brightest moved up to the main rosters of RAW and Smackdown, and we've seen the return of several injured and former WWE superstars.

BUT WAIT! There's more. Former WWE and NXT Women's champion Paige, who had just recently returned to WWE television after undergoing neck surgery, was re-injured in December keeping her out of the ring and, unfortunately, ended her in-ring career and run with Absolution. During WrestleMania weekend and after much public speculation the situation was finally addressed and her official retirement was announced. However, on Smackdown, the following Tuesday, it was announced she will continue her career with the WWE as General Manager of Smackdown replacing the recently, medically cleared Daniel Bryan.
